The invisibility of adolescents within the SDGs

This resource outlines the limited way in which adolescents are included in the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It focuses on the data gap in relation to adolescent boys and girls in the SDGs, and how their needs and risks are not fully understood by policy makers and programmers.

Ahead of the 2020 Comprehensive Review, this resource made recommendations on how this important gap could be filled. Recommendations included the need for improved data disaggregation, more joined up country-level reporting on adolescence and youth, and adjustments to the SDG framework.
