On 8 March 2025, the world will celebrate International Women's Day under the theme "For ALL women and girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment". This year’s focus is on securing equal rights, power, and opportunities for all women and girls, particularly empowering young women and adolescent girls as key catalysts of sustainable change.
The event coincides with the 30th anniversary of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, the most progressive global framework for gender equality. Under the umbrella of the United Nations (UN) Women’s global campaign to mark this anniversary, this year’s International Women’s Day advocates for advancing women and girls’ rights, promoting gender equality and fostering empowerment. UN Women calls on media, corporate leaders, governments, community leaders, civil society, youth and individuals to take action and use #ForAllWomenAndGirls to drive awareness and inspire change.
