Resource library: Inclusive politics, governance, and accountability

Welcome to our comprehensive resource collection dedicated to inclusive politics, governance, and accountability.

Here, you'll discover a diverse range of resources aimed at helping organisations play a meaningful role in fostering inclusivity within both formal and informal political and governance systems. Political and governance systems are the laws, policies, institutions, and structures that set the rules by which people are expected to live in each country or context. Systems of inclusive politics and governance are important frameworks for promoting equality and inclusion. Where these systems are not transparent or equitable, or where decision-makers are not held accountable, they can drive exclusion based on people’s sex, race, disability, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, and sex characteristics, or other (often intersecting) characteristics. In contrast, inclusive political and governance systems should enable and empower all individuals to voice their opinions and exercise their rights, regardless of their background or identity.
