Climate resilience and disability inclusion: mapping and rapid evidence review

This resource from the Disability Inclusion Helpdesk on disability and climate resilience examines the links between climate change and disability and the evidence available on interventions that strengthen the climate resilience of people with disabilities. It also examines how climate resilience programmes can be more effective in including people with disabilities.

The resource concludes that most climate resilience programmes that seek to include people with disabilities take a mainstreaming approach to inclusion, rather than including disability-specific components. It also indicates there is limited evidence on what works to strengthen the climate resilience of people with disabilities, and warns they may be falling through the gaps in climate resilience programming. It provides recommendations on how climate resilience programmes can be made more disability-inclusive.
