The 69th session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW69) will take place between March 10–21, 2025, at the United Nations (UN) Headquarters in New York. This two-week annual session gathers representatives from across UN member states, civil society organisations and other UN entities to discuss emerging gender equality issues, document the realities of women’s lives around the world, and shape global standards on gender equality.
The annual sessions are aligned with priority themes that link to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, whilst putting the spotlight on some of the neglected areas of women’s rights. This year, participants will assess progress since the 1995 Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action and formulate agreed conclusions to advance women's rights across political, economic, and social spheres.
While in-person attendance is limited, UN Women UK invites UK-based individuals to access live-streamed sessions. Further details are available on the official website, including session objectives and application form for digital attendance.
