Pocket guide: safeguarding persons with disabilities and/or mental health conditions in civil society organisation (CSO) programmes

This resource focuses on safeguarding people with disabilities and mental health conditions in humanitarian and development programmes. It was written in collaboration with people with disabilities. 

The resource contains three parts:

  • definitions - explaining different types of disabilities
  • risks of harm faced by people with disabilities, including sexual exploitation, abuse and harassment (SEAH)
  • managing risks, including how to make safeguarding efforts disability inclusive

The resource is also available in Arabic, Bangla, French, Swahili and Urdu
