International Women and Girls Strategy 2023–2030

This resource is the UK Government’s international strategy on women and girls. It explains how the UK Government’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) plans to advance rights, freedoms and potential of all women and girls in its policy and programmes.

The resource outlines the key areas of work the FCDO will focus on. This includes 3 main areas of work, or the ‘3 e’s’:  educating girls; empowering women and girls and championing their health and rights; and ending violence, including gender-based violence, conflict-related sexual violence (CRSV), sexual exploitation abuse and harassment (SEAH) and female genital mutilation (FGM). It also looks at how climate change, crises, and conflict affect women and girls.

This resource was published under the 2022 to 2024 Sunak Conservative government.
