This resource synthesises evidence on the linkages between gender, social inclusion and trade, highlighting women’s different roles in trade in selected middle-income countries. It identifies key evidence gaps relevant to the Prosperity Fund’s focus on non-tariff barriers to trade in middle-income countries. It also summarises promising practices from existing interventions. The resource is useful for trade programming, as it identifies good practice tools and approaches for integrating gender and social analysis to support gender equality, women’s economic empowerment and inclusive growth.
