Drivers of gender-based violence in migration in Latin America

This Knowledge for Development and Diplomacy (K4DD) rapid evidence review explores the drivers of gender-based violence (GBV) in migration across Latin America. It provides an overview of the factors influencing migration-related decisions, experiences throughout the migration cycle and the challenges faced by migrant women and girls.

The report highlights the need for comprehensive support systems to address GBV and safety mechanisms for migrant populations. It concludes by drawing attention to the direct influence on migration flows across the region, which are closely linked with inequity and poverty.
