UK Strategy: safeguarding against sexual exploitation and abuse and sexual harassment within the aid sector

This resource sets out what the UK Government is doing to improve safeguarding standards across its overseas development assistance work. It focuses specifically on safeguarding from sexual exploitation and abuse and harassment within the humanitarian and development sector.

The strategy outlines the UK government’s plans to improve safeguarding internally, with partner organisations, and across the sector. It outlines the challenges facing the sector and puts forward a sector-wide theory of change. It provides specific examples of how the UK’s actions will contribute to the delivery of that theory of change.

This resource was published under the 2022 to 2024 Sunak Conservative government.
